Deaf Kei Mouth Gardner to represent SA on world stage | The Sowetan LIVE

A Kei Mouth gardener has beaten the odds and will represent South Africa when he plays at the World Deaf Golf Championships in Japan later this year.

Despite losing most of his hearing in 2006, Mkhuseli Holose continued to pursue his passion for the game. Ranking fourth at the South African Deaf Golf Championship in Kwazulu-Natal in March, Holose scored himself a spot in the world championships in October.

Computers needed for iKwili Primary School Library

Local Wireless Internet Service Provider, Kei Mor ISP, is working together with Michelle Storm and Steve Meyer, who have been developing the library at the iKwili Primary School in Kei Mouth, to create a computer laboratory with Internet access for the students.

If you have any second-hand desktop computers or laptops that you would like to donate to this good cause, then please give Gareth at Kei Mor ISP a call on 084 267 6354. He is willing to fetch any old computers you may have from Kei Mouth or Morgan Bay, as well as transfer any data still on them across to your new computer, free of charge. All computers received will be cleaned of personal files and students will be restricted from accessing content of an adult nature. New computers also welcome!
