The Pont / Kei Mouth Ferry

The Pont can carry up to two vehicles at a time and with lots of space for passengers on either side. The fare is currently R60 per vehicle in either direction and R50 return per motorbike.

It operates on a first-come first-serve basis and is in operation from early morning to late afternoon 365 days a year, except when the river is in flood.

Sand bars occasionally form in the middle of the river and this means that the Pont cannot pass at low spring tide. A delay of around 2 hours can be experienced during these conditions.
